A friend calls it "Nature's church". Here is a choice example
of Robert Frost's "...road less travelled by." Going up the Pali Highway 
to the Windward side of O'ahu. Shortly before the Pali Tunnel
there is a sign that says "Nu'uanu Pali Drive".
It's the original passageway across the mountain
winding through dense rainforest and tree tunnels.
